What is “Tabata” training?
Originating in Japan, Tabata is “short, sharp, and shiny” style of training: short in that it only lasts a few minutes, sharp in that it is of high intensity and shiny in that it can produce fantastic results in regards to strength and fat loss.
How do you do it?
The basic structure of this style of training is that you exercise as hard as you can for 20 seconds, and then rest completely for 10 seconds. You then complete this pattern until you have completed 8 rounds or “bursts”, lasting 4 minutes in total.
