This salad is a staple in my diet, it is SO easy to make but when you use the freshest ingredients it tastes delicious!

Whenever I go to my Yiayia & Pappou's house they always make this with ingredients from their home grown garden and I can't get enough of it. 

Traditional Greek Salad Recipe

Total time: 10 minutes
Serves: 1-2
Dietary preferences: Vegetarian, Gluten-free, Nut-free

Ingredients:

  • 3 tsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • ¼ garlic clove, crushed
  • ¼ tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 medium tomato, cut into wedges
  • 1 medium cucumber, sliced
  • ½ medium green capsicum, sliced
  • ¼ small red onion, sliced
  • 6-8 olives, pitted
  • 40g salt-reduced feta cheese

Method:

1. Place the olive oil, lemon juice, garlic and oregano in a small bowl and whisk until combined. Season with salt and pepper, if desired.

2. Place the tomato, cucumber, capsicum, onion and olives in a medium bowl and toss gently to combine.

3. Place the salad in a serving bowl, top with the feta cheese and drizzle with the olive oil dressing. Enjoy!
