Homemade Tzatziki Recipe

I love making my own Tzatziki, it tastes so much better than the pre-made ones you find in most supermarkets! I like to serve it with chicken and a wholemeal pita for a quick lunch! It also goes really well with grilled lamb or used as a dip for veggie sticks. Delish!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of plain Greek yoghurt
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 large cucumber, seeded
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh dill
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Pinch of black pepper

Directions

  1. Grate cucumber and place in a sieve. Sprinkle with a little salt and let sit for 10 minutes. Squeeze the cucumber to get rid of any moisture.
  2. Combine all ingredients and adjust seasoning and lemon juice as needed. Serve immediately or refrigerate in a sealed container for up to 2 days.
