"Life before Kayla's guides? That feels like a whole different lifetime lol I have always struggled with my weight for as long as I can remember. Growing up was hard because of it. I denied the reality of my situation for sooo many years. I did weight watchers in middle school and that was so embarrassing. In high school I was very involved with sports and clubs and I had a lot of "friends," but my weight still prevented me from doing soooo many things. After high school, college made the situation worse. I was dorming close to home and I decided to become a vegetarian which only made my weight a bigger issue. All I would eat was bread and cheese! I gained sooo much weight and I did that for 5 YEARS!!! It wasn't until April of 2013 that I started to toy with the idea of really committing to losing weight. I joined a gym and followed a workout/nutrition plan that I had no idea what I was doing or what it would do for my body. Long story short, it didn't last. My mind wasn't ready.
I then moved to Orlando, FL last year where I had the opportunity to work for the Walt Disney World Company! This experience allowed me to grow sooo much and learn so many things about myself. I finally started to show people who I really was for the first time in my life, even though my weight was still preventing me from so much. When I moved back home last fall, I started back into fitness because I didn't want to go back to the dark, depressing life I had before Disney. And I started only working out three times a week and by February of 2015 I decided to purchase BBG and the HELP guide because I was ready for the lifestyle and I never looked back!! Best life decision I've made!
In regards to why I started, I knew I just had to do it, it was time. The switch went off in my brain and I knew what I needed to do and what I needed to change in order to become a healthier, stronger, happier person! Since starting in February, I have lost over 40lbs! I went from a XXL to a Large in shirts and dresses! I went from a size 19/20 in pants/jeans to a size 14!! I've had to buy sooo many new clothes for work and just day to day life and I've literally donated all my old clothes because not one thing still fits me! I've been able to wear clothes that I didn't fit into anymore but couldn't give up lol and I'm seeing soooooooo many physical changes in my arms, shoulders, upper back and legs!! It's all so exciting!!
When I started I was 232lbs. with my highest weight being 240+ in October 2014. Now, I am a proud member of 'One'derland, weighing 198lbs!!! :)

First of all, I want to say thank you SO much for creating the BBG and the wonderful worldwide community of BBG girls! Kayla, you have absolutely changed my life.
I wasn't overweight before I started the guides, but I hadn't been happy with my body for as long as I can remember. Every time I was at the starting point of something, New Year's Day, a new school term, a summer holiday, even a regular Monday, I would promise myself I'd start a particular diet or exercise programme. I would stick with it for a few days or sometimes weeks but then "fail" and feel awful. I'm sure a lot of girls can relate!
I followed your page for a few months before I bought the guides, which I eventually did when my housemate agreed to do them with me. Honestly, I was convinced it was a scam at first (sorry!!) as the transformations seemed so incredible. But I'm so glad I didn't let my scepticism get the better of me as starting the BBG was definitely one of my top 3 best decisions ever made!
There is over a year between these photos, 7 months of which I was doing the BBG (I'm now on round 3!) and I can't believe how much I've changed and learned. Before, I always saw healthy eating and exercise as a chore, a means to an end. I would force myself to do it but I didn't enjoy it. Now, I've learnt to love the process of eating well and getting fit! It's not a diet or a quick fix, it's a lifestyle. I genuinely look forward to my workouts and I love the feeling of getting stronger and discovering all the amazing things my body can do. I can do a handstand now, and a push up! They would have seemed impossible pre-BBG. So, once again, thank you thank you thank you!!
