Ladies, you know that I think a routine is a very important part of your health and fitness journey. Without a good routine, it can be hard to focus on where you want to go and how you can achieve it. 
These two ladies are at different stages of their journey, and it’s amazing to see how a change in attitude helped them to become stronger than ever!

Georgie Macdiarmid —@georgiemacd

The lovely Georgie starts out her letter to me by explaining that she doesn’t want to write a ‘sob story’ as she is incredibly grateful to be blessed with great friends and family. 

But, she explains that for as long as she can remember, she has struggled with self-confidence. Georgie felt as though she wasn’t able to look at herself in the mirror and say that she liked what she saw. 

Each year, Georgie’s exercise and eating habits were inconsistent. This affected her weight and left her feeling frustrated. “Never finishing any fitness or eating program, I was continually letting myself down. This affected my confidence and once positive frame of mind.” 

Georgie was fed up with not feeling comfortable in her body. “I know my family and friends, as supportive as they are, were beginning to get frustrated by my obsessiveness about what I wanted to look like.” Not wanting to spend another year feeling anxious about summer coming up, Georgie decided it was time to just start! The support of a close friend helped to push Georgie to start BBG and to keep pushing throughout the entire 12 weeks. 

As Georgie explains, working out with a friend made a huge difference! “I shared this journey with a best friend that would push me every single 5:30am workout and helped me to finally be happy in my own skin.” And all of those 5:30am workouts have helped Georgie to feel stronger — she is happy to now be able to do push ups on her toes! In addition to feeling stronger, Georgie is also happy to see a difference in her body, particularly a part of her she was always self-conscious of, her stomach. 

Since starting BBG, Georgie has found a brand new attitude. While she began the program focused on wanting to achieve physical results, the feeling of sticking to a routine and feeling stronger has become a even bigger motivation. 

As a final comment, Georgie also notes the difference of expression in her progress photos. I love to see women feeling happier and stronger because of BBG! Awesome work, Georgie!

Amanda Buscemi — @peanutbutterfitclubb

Amanda begins her story explaining that before BBG, her mindset wasn’t a healthy one. Stuck in a cycle of severe calorie restriction, followed by a binge, Amanda felt unhappy. “I was so unhappy with the way I looked and felt. I was ashamed of who I was turning into. I knew I wanted more out of this life!”

Searching for a healthy lifestyle that was sustainable, Amanda found my BBG program soon after it was first released (as an eBook) in 2014! She decided to try it and soon fell in love with the program and her routine. “I stopped focusing on quick fixes and instead accepted that this was going to be something I was going to work on for the rest of my life.” A shift in attitude happened and Amanda was on her way!

With BBG, Amanda realised that there was no deadline or end point. She learned how to fuel her body for exercise, as well as realising that she had room to be a bit flexible in her approach. Something clicked, and now Amanda has been doing BBG for a number of years before recently starting BBG Stronger. She has now developed a routine that she loves! 

I loved reading Amanda’s story, particularly when it comes to the change in her mindset. No longer worried about her weight or calorie counting, Amanda relies on how she feels as a gauge for her health and fitness. 

Congratulations Amanda! I love that my BBG programs have helped teach you how to live a healthy, happy lifestyle and that you’re loving it!
