BBG Mums Transforming Their Lifestyles
Ladies, I have a confession to make. I am obsessed with reading your BBG before and after stories! The way you all embrace BBG and make it a part of YOUR healthy lifestyle just blows me away.
I have two incredible stories to share with you today — these two mummas have done such an amazing job of transforming their lifestyles for the better. I am so proud!
Shay’s BBG journey — @shay_call
In her email, Shay explained that she wanted to start by talking about her pregnancies.
“I am not one of those women who gains only 20-25 lbs [9-11 kg] during pregnancy. I gained at least 60 lbs [27 kg] with each of my pregnancies (I have 4 kids).”
When Shay had her first two children, she found following a healthy diet helped her to lose the weight.
“I was only 24 and 26 years old. However, I didn’t lose all the weight after my third pregnancy so I was already heavier than I wanted to be going into my fourth pregnancy. I weighed 210 lbs [95 kg] when I had my youngest.”
Once her youngest daughter was born, Shay had a demanding lifestyle and found that she didn’t feel like herself.
“I was really overwhelmed with life when I took that before picture. I felt like I was in survival mode. A newborn baby is so special but also so challenging. I knew I had to do something for myself to change my physical and emotional wellbeing.”
Shay explains that she is naturally a pretty positive person and loves to start new projects, so she viewed my BBG program as a new project for herself. Being able to follow a workout program at home was a great fit for Shay — especially having four young children at home.
For Shay, BBG has not been a quick-fix or a weight loss solution after pregnancy. She has continued to do her BBG workouts using BBG 1.0 and BBG 2.0 for almost three years!
“Naturally, my motivation has come and gone but I’ve been pretty consistent with the exercising. I exercise with my sister-in-law so we keep each other on track. I was a size 14 (U.S. sizing) in the before picture. I am now wearing a size 6. I feel incredible!”
Shay’s positive attitude has definitely helped her to make BBG a part of her life for the long-term.
“The biggest thing for me was recognising that I was feeling bad for myself. My life is so beautiful! Feeling bad for myself was stopping my progress. Now I have the awareness, I can quickly stop those negative thoughts, feel in control and move forward.”
I am so incredibly proud of you, Shay! You have shown such positivity and have really embraced the benefits of regular exercise. Keep it up!
Annie’s BBG journey — @healthy.and.wellthy
Annie explains that she has always had a love for working out. She would often spend hours in the gym doing cardio but she wasn’t getting the results she wanted from her workouts.
“After having two babies, I found myself carrying a lot of extra weight and was depressed about my body image.”
Having children left Annie feeling as though she had lost a lot of strength and as though she couldn’t move in the same way she used to.
“After coming across BBG transformation pictures on Instagram (with a lot of them #BBGmoms), I thought to myself, If they can do it I can at least TRY! I downloaded the ebook and started slowly.”
Within a few weeks of following my BBG guide, Annie began to notice changes. She would look back on her progress photos as a way of motivating herself to keep going.
“After almost completing my second round of BBG, it’s crazy to look back and see how much I’ve changed. It’s completely transformed my body (I have abs again after having two babies!!) and more importantly, my mind.”
Annie is so happy that BBG has helped her to feel more confident too. Since following the workouts, she feels stronger and more energised.
“My self-esteem and confidence have sky-rocketed. When you feel good in your own skin, nothing compares.”
