Louise — @louise_getting_lean

Before starting BBG, Louise explained that she had always worked out and her weight had been pretty consistent her whole life. However, once she became pregnant, that changed. 

“I stacked on 30kg, I was unhappy, self-conscious, suffering postnatal depression and had been battling eating disorders for 15 years. During pregnancy and after giving birth, I got stuck in a cycle of exercising like mad and restrictive eating all week, then I’d binge eat for a few days, making me feel terrible, so I’d start the whole cycle again.” 

After having her son, Louise decided that she wanted to make a change. She wanted to be stronger physically and mentally, to be a role model for her son as he grew up. 

Knowing that she needed a long-term solution that she could maintain for her health, Louise started researching. She found my Instagram and decided BBG was the program she wanted to try! 

Since starting BBG, Louise has made a lot of progress. She has gone from not being able to do a single push up on her toes to now finishing all of her reps. Her son even joins her for workouts, and has even told his mum he wants to help people to workout their bodies too! 

“The photo above is of me restarting BBG and the progress between week one and week four. It blows my mind how much my body can continue to change even after 165 weeks of your program.” Seeing the progress of other BBG girls was a huge motivator for Louise, and it gave her hope to continue throughout her journey. Even after two pregnancies, Louise has definitely found a fitness program that works for her!

In addition to her weight-loss results, Louise also feels better about life in general. She explains that she deals with stress so much better now, and is proud of herself for sticking with it. 

Congratulations on all of your hard work Louise! You are setting such a wonderful example for your children and I’m so happy to hear your son feels inspired by you working on your health and fitness! Keep it up xx

Greta

Greta explains that her struggle with body image began when she was eleven. “My body changed. I became a woman and I started to have retention and cellulite problems. I gained weight.”  This was the first time Greta started to feel as though her body wasn’t in the shape she wanted it to be. 

That started a cycle for Greta. She tried different diets and exercises, she would lose weight and gain it again. She developed stretch marks and felt uncomfortable about them. And she began to hate her body and feel as though it would never improve. “I began to think I was too young to have an ‘ugly’ body. I was so sad.” Then Greta discovered her boyfriend was seeing another woman, and they broke up. “I started to think I wasn’t beautiful.” 

After meeting another man who was a little older and more mature than her ex-boyfriend, Greta’s perspective began to change. Her new boyfriend encouraged her to love her body and not to mistreat it. He taught her to change her way of thinking about her body, to see herself as beautiful. 

With his encouragement, Greta realised that she wanted to change her lifestyle. While she was a little uncertain, she decided to begin BBG. After completing 12 weeks, Greta was blown away. “I’ve never seen so obvious changes. Not only in my body, but in my mind. I began to appreciate the time you put in there to change, to appreciate food, to like getting to the hard work and sweat.” Greta admits that before starting BBG, she didn’t really understand what it meant to be healthy, or to have a healthy body. Since starting BBG, she has learned that healthy is more about mindset than about shape. 

Greta has learned to stop treating her body like it is her enemy. She loves the positive changes that have come with BBG — being active, feeling positive, eager to do something and to improve and learn. “I started when I was 60kg. I am now 56kg, but it is not the weight that makes me happy. It’s the strength, the muscles, the shape, the resistance. And most of all, I understood that nobody’s action is the measure of my beauty.” 

Greta is excited to see where the next rounds of BBG will take her. She has had such a mental transformation thanks to BBG and a wonderful, supportive boyfriend. I’m so proud of you Greta! You are truly beautiful inside and out xx
