These two remarkable ladies have taken charge of their lifestyles and given them a healthy upgrade! Their self-confidence is higher than ever, thanks to the BBG

Michelle — @fitbybiro

Michelle says she was always the active kid in her family. She loved being outside, whether it was riding horse, running cross country or track. Even after she headed off to college, she continued to be active and even taught Pilates classes. 

Once Michelle graduated and starting workout full-time, it became more difficult for her to be active. As she explains, she went completely off-track, eating poorly and not working out. Then her brother passed away and Michelle struggled to deal with it, falling further into a downward spiral. 

Then, in Fall 2014, Michelle’s friend showed her my Instagram. Michelle was intrigued. She knew that she wasn’t taking the best care of her body, and that needed to change. As she explains, “After two years of not servicing my body correctly, I knew it was time to make a change.”

Since starting her BBG journey in October 2014, Michelle says she feels like a completely new person. She knows her body is strong and capable. Every morning, Michelle wakes up with energy, does her workout at 5am and continues with her day. “While my progress physically has been amazing, my progress internally is what has drilled such a deep love of BBG in me.”

What I love about Michelle’s story is how she found a way to embrace the changes to her lifestyle. As she says, “If I don’t get in my BBG workout at 5am, the rest of my day just feels off!” Not only has Michelle achieved amazing results, but she has also got her self-confidence back. So proud of you, Michelle!

Shelley — @fit.momof4

When Shelley first began her BBG journey, she had recently had her fourth child in four years. She wasn’t feeling confidence in herself, so her goal was to lose the baby weight, tone up her stomach and even to get a ‘six-pack’.

As Shelley explains, her definition of working out before she began BBG was going running a few times and week and eating whatever she wanted. That mindset changed thanks to my program, and Shelley began to realise how important it was to eat a balanced diet in order to fuel her body. She also realised that being consistent was important. 

Shelley went from wanting a six-pack and comparing her body to other people to appreciating what her body had done for her. She started “respecting it instead of criticising it.” That’s such a massive transformation to have had mentally, but I think it’s one that can serve us all!

In terms of progress, as Shelley explains “At the beginning of BBG, six weeks post-baby number four, I weighed 145 lbs. Currently I weigh 127 lbs. I am physically and mentally healthier than I have ever been and when I flex, I have a six-pack, something I never had pre-kids.”

Something else Shelley is happy to point out is she did all of her BBG workouts at home, usually during her kid’s naptime. I’m so impressed by the amazing example Shelley is setting for her children, it’s such a wonderful inspiration! I’m blown away!
