Different Motivations, Same Love For BBG!
As a personal trainer, I know that we all have slightly different reasons to start a fitness routine. That reason for starting can be such huge motivation to achieve your fitness goals! Today I’ve got a couple of BBG transformation stories that have different reasons for starting, but both ladies are so happy they did!
These two ladies have made huge changes to their lifestyles, and they are loving the results!

Jaklyn — @jayyveeee18
Throughout high school and college, Jaklyn was very active. She had been an athlete during high school and continued to do intramural sports and spin classes in college.
As Jaklyn explains, she enjoyed college and “gained the infamous ‘freshman 15’ over the course of my 4 years there. Once graduated, I continued my party lifestyle but lacked motivation to workout and was not conscious of what I was eating.”
When special events like weddings came up, Jaklyn wanted to get in shape. But she admits that she didn’t really follow through. She started BBG at least four times over the course of three years, but each time something got in the way and Jaklyn would quit.
In January 2017, Jaklyn got engaged and that’s when she made the firm decision to make changes in her life. “I knew I wanted to jump-start getting in shape for my wedding and ease into my fitness journey. I wanted to live a healthier lifestyle but I also wanted to lose weight. I did not want to put too much pressure on myself to reach my goals in a short amount of time.” So in February, Jaklyn started BBG. This time, she was determined to finish the full 12 weeks!
Jaklyn pushed herself and kept at it, and she got through the first 12 weeks. As her confidence grew and she became stronger, she set herself a goal to complete a full year of BBG. “It is truly part of my lifestyle now and I don’t even second guess not completing the workouts each week. I can always make time.”
For Jaklyn, the changes haven’t just been physical. She now loves to go to bed early and realises how important rest is for her health. She feels strong, energetic and has so much more endurance! “As far as clothing goes, my clothes just fit me better. I’m still getting used to fitting into a size 4 and don’t always believe that my body has changed, until I actually put on a new piece of clothing.”
Jaklyn is now enjoying being active and is eating healthier as well.

Katrice — @Katrices__
For Katrice, feeling unhealthy and unhappy with how she looked was the reason she decided to start BBG. Since starting a full-time job where she had to sit all day, Katrice felt her weight increasing.
Feeling self-conscious, Katrice began to avoid things she loved, like going to the beach. She even felt self-conscious around her husband. “I would overeat and probably had fast food at least 3 times a week, because food is what made me happy.”
In December 2017, Katrice had a physical. Her blood work showed that her cholesterol levels were quite high for her age. “High cholesterol runs in my family but I never thought it would affect me at such a young age. My doctor told me I’d need to change my lifestyle or I’ll be taking medicine for the rest of my life, or even worse, have a heart attack.” That was the shock that Katrice needed to take a look at her lifestyle.
Once she began my BBG program, Katrice knew she’d found something that worked for her. She began using the recipes in the SWEAT app to eat healthier and to stay on track with snacks during the day. Even in a short timeframe, she has noticed amazing results.
One of the first things Katrice noticed was how much more energy she had. Her confidence began to grow, and she’s feeling comfortable in her skin again. “My pants size dropped from a 10 to a 6 and all my clothing is looser. I have more energy when I’m being up and active and I’m not totally winded from taking a flight of stairs.”
Wow, Katrice! I’m so happy that you have thrown yourself into BBG and you’re focusing on good nutrition as well! I can see you have the drive to keep at it!
