I am continually blown away by the incredible BBG transformations and stories you all share with me! It makes me so, so happy to hear from you and honestly, your stories are such an inspiration — not just to me but to the entire BBG Community too. 

The stories I have for you today are from two beautiful BBG mums. I know so many mums find it difficult to make time for themselves but getting in a quick workout can make a huge (and very positive) difference to your self-confidence, your energy and your mental health.

BBG Mum transformations

Allie’s BBG Journey — @fitbbg88

During school, Allie played a lot of soccer and ran track and field. She explains that she got married quite young and had two boys, just 14 months apart. “When I was pregnant with my boys, I gained a LOT of weight! I’m 4’11” and both my boys were over 9 pounds. I got lots of stretch marks. After my last baby I never even tried to get my body back.

Allie says that she was very self-conscious, she hid behind baggy clothes and made excuses to avoid outings, particularly to places like the beach. She knew she needed a change because she was tired of being unhealthy and feeling tired all the time. Allie’s motivation to change her lifestyle came from her husband. “He works out, eats healthy and takes care of his body because he saves lives and people depend on him. He’s a firefighter. He always says ‘I work out to save lives.’ That made me think… I should work out and take care of myself for him and my boys.

While Allie had tried my BBG program before, she had struggled to stick with it. This time she was determined to keep going and to make positive changes for her health. After finishing 6 weeks of BBG, Allie is in love with how she feels, the routine and with her body. “I love seeing my body change! My clothes are getting loose on me. I’ve even saved a pair of old jeans from high school (size 0) just to motivate me but I no longer have my headaches or back pain. I was 128 pounds, now I am 114 pounds.” 

Even better, Allie has so much more energy! She says previously she never had time for breakfast but now she is excited to eat it every morning. “My husband loves my confidence and says I’ve changed (in a good way) and he is happy for me. I finally got my energy back and finally, slowly getting my body back as well. Hard work definitely takes time but it’s all worth it at the end.”

Allie, you have achieved so much already, I know you are going to continue to go from strength to strength! I am so proud of all of your hard work, well done!

Kailah's BBG Results

Kailah has always loved being active. She played lots of sport during college and felt that she was in good physical shape. After having her first child, Kailah wanted to get back into an active lifestyle and a more positive mindset. “I wasn’t feeling like myself anymore because my body had been completely changed by the pregnancy.”

After she was given approval by her doctor to start working out again, Kailah knew that making a trip to the gym each day wasn’t going to be easy with a newborn. She began researching different options, looking for something she could do at home. That’s when she found BBG! “It seemed like a perfect fit. I downloaded the SWEAT app and paid for a full year membership and I am absolutely loving it, I wish I had found it sooner!”

Kailah is able to do the resistance workouts while her baby is sleeping or playing and gets her LISS cardio workouts done by taking her baby for a walk. Since making BBG part of her lifestyle and following a routine, Kailah is feeling healthier and happier. “I’m now back into my size 2 clothes! I can honestly say that I now feel more energised and self-confident than ever before. This healthy living lifestyle has helped my mind, body and soul.”
