Amy — @amys_fitstagram

After years of being active, Amy found herself a little short on time when she had children. A move to Chicago, where “all delicious foods are plentiful” lead to Amy indulging a little too much and not exercising. As she explains, this lead to her gaining 25 lbs. 

In October 2016, Amy decided she wanted to take care of her body. She found my BBG program in the SWEAT app and set her goal: to get back into shape and be healthier in her 30s. 

Since following the BBG workouts, Amy found herself getting so much stronger. “I have lost 26lbs total and dropped from a size 12 to a size 4. But most importantly, I have gained so much muscle and strength!” That increased strength means Amy now feels she has the confidence to take on anything!

Amy explained that she uses the nutrition guide in the app as a general guide. The information she has learned from the app and from my program has helped her to make positive changes for the better — amazing work Amy!

As so many of you know, I believe education is such a big component in making healthy choices! It’s fantastic that Amy has used the nutrition section of the SWEAT app to help her plan healthy meals that fuel her body!

Kimberley — @kimberleywenya

Kimberley admits that she had a lot to learn when it came to health and fitness. Wanting a toned tummy, her exercise routine consisted of cardio and ab pilates sessions. Then three years ago, in an effort to eat better, Kimberley started restricting calories. Unfortunately, that lead to regular junk food binges, where Kimberley would eat large portions of chips or takeaway. 

Even back in high school, Kimberley says she was never interested in fitness or PE class. When she began university, Kimberley realised she was sick of dreading exercise for no reason, and she didn’t want to keep that attitude anymore. She was tired of seeing girls on Instagram who looked strong, fit and healthy, and wishing it was her. 

That was a turning point for Kimberley. She decided to stop wishing and start working on herself. When she found my social media accounts, Kimberley knew she had to try BBG. “I knew that this was what I had been looking for — a program that was portable, educational and backed with science, and didn’t need a gym. I tried the free week of workouts and remember struggling so badly that I couldn’t even finish any of the sessions. But it put me into perspective and I was determined to work at it.” 

As Kimberley got further into her BBG journey, she began to feel better. She learned how to eat to nourish her body and how exercise could be enjoyable! 

“Since my body has changed, I’ve felt things fit much better or are less tight — I even have a pair of 2XU tights that I started my journey in that are baggy on me now!” Kimberley is now feeling more confident and has so much more energy than before, a welcome change from feeling lethargic like she used to. 

Kimberley also explained that while her weight is now pretty much the same as when she started, she FEELS so much better, inside and out. The difference BBG has made to her life is obvious — Kimberley is absolutely glowing in her photo!

Whenever one of my BBG girls shares a story like this with me, it makes me so happy! Kimberley has learned it’s not about the number on the scale — it’s about taking care of yourself and being the healthiest, happiest, strongest version of yourself!
