How Shifting Your Focus Can Transform Your Life
The BBG transformations I am sharing today show how sometimes a shift in focus can help you to really hone in on your goals and get the results you’re after!
Both of these inspiring ladies worked out regularly before starting BBG but felt as though they were just going through the motions and did not have any set goals in place. They both also felt as though their eating habits could be improved.
The magic began to happen when they actively decided to change their mindsets! Read on to be blown away by the huge difference that a committed mindset and clear goals can have on your progress.
Lesley’s BBG journey — @bussgirl
Lesley has always been invested in fitness and health and had previously tried out a variety of different workout styles, from yoga to CrossFit.
“I was working out but in hindsight, I wasn't in a place where I had a definitive goal, nor did I have a purpose behind my fitness, or a consistent routine. I was going through the motions, doing it because 'that's what I was supposed to do.' I lacked purpose and awareness with my health.”
Lesley goes on to explain that one day, she looked in the mirror and had a huge awakening.
“It was not me staring back. I had just turned 35. I was stressed, I wasn't getting enough sleep. I was working out several times a week, eating well, but the person in the mirror was not reflective of health”.
Lesley says that when she stumbled upon the SWEAT Community, her mindset shifted — and this changed everything!
“Within 2 weeks of starting BBG 1.0 my clothes fit differently, my energy levels rose dramatically….Way before anyone noticed what was happening on the outside, everyone noticed what was happening on the inside. My emotions were balanced... I no longer felt in competition with those around me.”
Lesley explains how her newfound focus completely transformed her results, both physically and emotionally.
“My cycling and running was instantly stronger and faster… I had been living as if it were impossible to reach a new level of fitness and all of a sudden that wasn't true anymore. My understanding of health expanded — investing time not just because I had to but because my mind and my soul were thriving because of it.”

Rachel’s BBG journey
Rachel explains that she had always been active in high school but when she went to college, she developed unhealthy habits and did not work out as she used to. University stress and a busy social life started to take its toll on Rachel’s body and confidence.
“I was always a member of a gym. Looking back, I never really worked myself hard and I was always disheartened when I wasn’t seeing any progress.”
“My weight went up and down as I left university and started working full time... When my relationship of 7 years ended, I was miserable both due to the break-up and due to being incredibly unhappy in myself … my self-confidence was at rock bottom.”
It was at this point that Rachel decided to change her eating habits and begin my BBG program in an effort to feel better about herself. The changes she felt were almost immediate!
“Within a few weeks of doing BBG alongside eating well, I felt changes... My clothes started to fit better and I felt really healthy for the first time since high school … During this time I lost around a dress size going from a UK size 10 to a size 8.”
Rachel explains in her email that even though she felt positive physical changes to her body, the most important changes happened within her.
“I was jumping out of bed in the morning to go to the gym at 5.30am before work and I was LOVING working out. I would be lying on the floor after every session and my muscles always ached the next day. I found my passion for training... I took up boxing and even taught a spinning class for some extra money!”
