Incredible Stories Of BBG And Growth!
Ladies, as I always say, your fitness journey is unique. That means your goals should be personal too! These two BBG ladies have incredible stories of growth and new levels of confidence — you have to read them.
Liana — @liana.fit
Liana began her fitness journey in college with a goal to be the fittest she could be. Regularly heading to the gym, Liana would spend over an hour on the elliptical or the treadmill and she explains she hated it! “There is nothing longer than a treadmill minute!”
When Liana met her future husband, he taught her a little about weight training and it changed Liana’s outlook on fitness. She realised she didn’t need to spend hours in the gym. “While I found a love for lifting weights, I wanted something that I could do from home but enjoy just as much. I started a ‘fitness’ Instagram account and started following a bunch of girls doing BBG, so I decided to give it a try.”
Liana has adjusted her mindset and goals over time. While her goal was to become the fittest possible, once she fell pregnant, Liana wanted to have a healthy pregnancy. “I didn’t have the most active pregnancy, but I made sure to eat healthily, keep up with walking and get a modified BBG workout where I could.” After having her daughter and getting clearance from her doctor to begin doing BBG pre-training again, Liana started slow and built up her strength again, moving on to BBG and then BBG Stronger.
Since becoming a mum, Liana wants to set a healthy example for her daughter. She loves to start her day with a workout because it helps her to feel energised, and living a healthy lifestyle has helped Liana to feel more confident than ever.
I absolutely love this healthy view that Liana has: “I’m not the fittest, and I’m not the strongest, but I don’t have to be. I’m a wife, a mama, and I’m healthy and I take care of myself. I’m proud of who I am and I love myself for it.” Such beautiful words Liana, keep setting a wonderful example for your daughter xx
Shari — @sharijsanderson
Shari explains that she was stuck in a cycle of losing 10 pounds and quickly putting it back on again. As a busy mum, Shari was always active but didn’t have a set exercise plan. She also didn’t have healthy eating goals.
For Shari, her need for greater inner strength led to BBG. She wanted to feel strong and to learn more about a healthy lifestyle while making sustainable changes to her life.
Once Shari began following my HELP Nutrition Guide and Bikini Body Training Guide, she embraced the change to her lifestyle and took the opportunity to learn about exercise and nutrition. “BBG really empowered me, taught me more about nutrition, gave me a set workout plan and helped me get lasting results for the first time in my adult life.” It wasn’t long before Shari found she had more energy.
In addition to having more energy, Shari also noticed physical changes in her body. “I lost inches and body fat. I became stronger inside. My workouts made me feel strong physically, mentally and emotionally.”
