Kickstarting New Routines With BBG!

Alexis’ BBG journey — @Elchai37
During college, Alexis says she worked out nearly five times a week with a trainer, something she took for granted. Having access to a range of equipment and having more time to workout made it easier for Alexis to train regularly.
Once she finished college and began her career in finance, Alexis found it harder to stay motivated. She had less time to train and spent a lot of time at a desk.
“I kept looking in the mirror and being more and more unhappy. Sitting down for 10-12 hours a day paired with bringing donuts and cake to the office nearly every day only deepened my physical and mental slump.”
While at college, Alexis had looked through a number of BBG progress photos. She explained that while the transformations really drew her in, she wasn’t certain if they were real! After her 23rd birthday, Alexis decided to give BBG a try for herself.
“I started BBG and never looked back. The SWEAT app was the kickstart I needed to get my butt back into shape.”
Once Alexis started following my BBG workouts, she found it easy to get into a routine and to be consistent. She makes sure to get to the gym at least three days a week and knows exactly what to do — the workouts are all laid out for her. Alexis’ motivation level is back to being high again and she loves feeling challenged.
“One of my biggest physical achievements is being able to do a proper push-up and tricep push-ups. I injured my shoulder in high school and always avoided upper body workouts because of the pain. My college trainer forced me to work on my upper body but I never really pushed myself. Kayla has helped me slowly build upper body strength to where I can do perfect tricep push-ups. Next on my list is mastering pull-ups!”

Sara’s BBG journey — @wolf_rabbit
Sara began her email by explaining that her relationship with food was a concern for her before starting BBG.
“I lived an active life but had no self-control with portions and would eat just about anything and too much of it. I felt myself getting bigger, so then I upped my gym time and barely ate anything. There was zero balance in my life.”
In 2015, after seeing lots of BBG progress photos on Instagram, Sara decided she wanted to give my BBG program a go. She downloaded the app and started following the workouts, even meeting other BBG girls who were starting their journey as well.
“But then I gave up. Later on, I saw that the girls who started the programs around the same time had amazing results. I kicked myself in the butt for giving up, knowing I could have been in the same place they were. That was the motivation I needed to complete all 12 weeks.”
Sara says that while it was really hard to get back into BBG to begin with, once she made it part of her routine, she found working out addictive.
“I took before and after photos every week and loved the results I was getting. Then after the 12 weeks was up, I had lost 15 pounds and discovered I had little baby abs! I went from a size 9 to a 4. I had to give away all of my workout clothes because they didn’t fit me anymore. I was stoked — my confidence skyrocketed, which led to me trying new fitness activities. I got really into yoga and love it so much, now I teach it.”
Starting BBG helped Sara to find enjoyment in being active! She found a way to make fitness a part of her lifestyle on an ongoing basis. So when the 12-Week Challenge began in January this year, Sara decided to get back into BBG again and set a challenge to finish BBG 2.0. She explains that the benefits on her body and mind made being active so worthwhile.
