Renata started her story by explaining that she was a competitive figure skater who had her own trainer from the age of 12. She also pursued track and tennis, so her fitness was pretty good.
When Renata got to college, she continued to workout regularly and she was very focused on her diet. Then, last year Renata went to Spain for five months and everything changed. Lots of amazing European foods, endless tapas and very little exercise began to take their toll. “I think I gained around 15 lbs — my clothes became so tight on me and I hated how chubby my face would look in pics and how I looked in a bikini once I got back to the US.”
Renata had been using my BBG program on and off for a few years, but she decided to fully commit to it for the last few months of school. Together with her best friend, Renata got back into the program. With graduation and spring break coming up, they wanted to look and feel their best! Both girls pushed themselves through every workout and focused on following a well-balanced diet.
After just 5 weeks of following my BBG, Renata was already noticing the difference. She was feeling like a new person! “I’m able to wear my clothes from over a year ago that felt uncomfortably tight for the past eight months! The craziest part is my energy and the increase in strength I feel when I do the workouts.”
Renata is feeling stronger than ever! While a workout of commandos and mountain climbers used to feel intimidating, she now welcomes the challenge! The structure of the workouts and the fact that she can do them in less than half an hour has Renata feeling excited about a healthy lifestyle again.

“Before starting the BBG guides, I had no idea what a healthy lifestyle looked like.” That was the first line I read from Elise’s story. She explains that she felt unhealthy both physically and mentally. She felt stuck in a rut, unhappy. She found herself turning to food for comfort.
While Elise had been a competitive tennis player since the age of 5, and had always been pretty active, she reached a point where she wasn’t feeling good. “There comes a point where you just can’t outrun all the bad, processed and fatty food you’re putting in your body. I tried going to the gym, but I could never stick with it. I had zero self-confidence and self-esteem, so every time I went to the gym I felt like everyone was staring at me and judging me.”
After returning from a 2.5 week trip to New Zealand, Elise was determined to change something. She came back from her holiday at her heaviest, after consuming more alcohol and processed foods than ever before. While she felt terrible, it was the motivation she needed to make changes.
“I experienced, on a whole new level, the negative impact processed, high sugar and high fat foods could really have on your body. And it honestly scared me to bits. I didn’t want to continue feeling like this. I wanted to start showing my body respect.” Elise had seen the difference a balanced diet and exercise had made to other women’s lives and decided she wanted that for herself.
Elise made a commitment to completely change her lifestyle. She loaded her fridge with organic and whole foods and started her first round of BBG. And she hasn’t looked back for a moment!
The lifestyle changes Elise has made are just the beginning. She explains that until starting BBG, she didn’t really know what it was like to have a passion for life. Now, her whole life has changed. Her confidence has reached new heights. “BBG has shown me I am capable of so much more than I ever imagined! Mentally and physically, and both in and outside of fitness.”
Elise says she is full of energy, no longer relying on sugar-laden foods to wake her up in the morning. She has educated herself on eating to nourish herself and fuel her body, and lost more than 10 kilograms in the process! She’s no longer grumpy all the time because she feels tired, she now feels more alive than ever!
Since starting BBG, Elise has found a new passion for health and fitness. She’s so happy that she stepped out of her comfort zone and pushed herself to follow her workouts.
