Ladies Putting Their Health First!
One of the things I love most about my BBG program is the newfound confidence that you ladies experience when putting your health first! It makes me so happy to hear how the BBG program has positively impacted your lives.
The two women in these transformations not only gained greater self-confidence through my BBG program but they now feel more energised, are happier and less stressed! Read these two stories for inspiration about why you should consistently prioritise your health.
Lisa — @learning2loveburpees
Lisa explains that she was feeling very insecure about herself before starting BBG. She was 13.5 months post-partum and she adored being a mum but also felt that she had lost some of herself in that process. “I would avoid social functions with friends where I had to dress up or knew they would be taking photos. I simply didn’t recognise myself anymore and needed to make a change”.
After trying several quick-fix online weight loss programs and boot camps, Lisa was looking for something more realistic. What started as a desire to get her pre-baby body back soon became a need to be the best mum and wife possible, so Lisa began looking for something more maintainable. That’s when she decided to try BBG.
While it felt difficult to begin with, Lisa kept going with the support of the BBG Community. By Week 3, she could feel herself making progress. “I started feeling stronger and FINALLY did my first real burpee without modification. I noticed my energy start to improve around Week 6 and my clothes started to get a little looser at that time too. Around Week 10 I felt like an entirely new woman!”
Since finishing BBG 1.0 twice, Lisa has gone on to do BBG 2.0. She has also learned how to nourish her body with the HELP Nutrition Guide and has adopted some of the ideas in it to fit her lifestyle. “They have been wonderful! It’s sound nutritious eating without any fad dieting”.
Wow Lisa, I’m so happy that you have found your confidence again. It’s fantastic that you have embraced exercise and healthy eating as part of your lifestyle. I’m sure you are setting a great example for your children.
Rose — @rosie_gregory
Rose explains that for a long time, she never put her health first. She frequently felt tired, stressed out, unmotivated and unhappy. “I had put all of that down to working, studying, trying to balance seeing friends and family and being mindful of my own mental health.”
While Rose wanted to make changes to her lifestyle, she struggled to find time for exercise and wasn’t sure where to start. Once she found out about BBG, Rose felt that she could make the 28-minute workouts fit into her schedule, so she signed up for a trial.
Once Rose began doing the BBG workouts, she realised she had time in her day to train. “I began to notice that I had more energy, I was happier and felt less stressed, even though all the other aspects of my life had remained the same. I couldn’t believe what I had been missing out on.”
Rose has also learned so much about the benefits of exercise for the body, and this is something she can apply to her studies in physiotherapy. Since starting BBG, Rose has been able to put her health first and exercises regularly. “I went from around 69-71 kilograms to now down to 63 kilograms. I found that I dropped from a size 12 to now a size 8. I never thought that I could actually get back in the jeans I had worn in high school.”
