“Hi Kayla!

I have had quite the interesting journey throughout the past six years. Growing up, I was always the "skinny" girl… and being the tallest girl in my class, I was always self-conscious about how "lanky" I was.

I also always played sports (mostly soccer and volleyball), and when I wasn't in season, I loved going on runs.

Then, when I was 17, I got in a water skiing accident that messed up my knee. Little did I know at the time that this accident would mark the end of my "skinny girl" phase and the beginning of endless hours of physical therapy.

When I went off to college, the weight came on fast. In addition to the factors that typically lead to the "freshman 15," (partying, alcohol, dorm food), I was also not able to play sports or work out still because of my knee.

So sophomore year, I went to a new orthopedic surgeon, and ended up needing to get a lateral release surgery.

The recovery was awful. By junior year, I had basically given up. I studied abroad in Paris second semester and put on 20 more pounds in just five months (endless croissants + wine & cheese for dinner + not working out = helllooooo weight gain).

Upon returning to America, I was so ashamed of the point I had let myself get to. I felt so lost.

After a few months went by, I realized that my knee was never going to "magically" get better if I just kept doing everything that I had been doing for the past five years.

As I reflected over the time that had gone by since my accident, I realized that all of the physical therapists and personal trainers I had been to had one end goal in common: to build muscle, in hopes that this would help ease the knee pain. But obviously physical therapy and personal training sessions weren't doing it for me. I needed to try something new.

So I picked up the BBG guides, (remembering that my friend had told me about them a few weeks beforehand), told myself "why the hell not?", and slowly started doing the pre-training.

During the first few weeks, I stopped right when I felt knee pain so that I wouldn't further injure myself. I kept pushing myself a little bit more each day until I finally built up enough strength to get through a full 28-minute session.

A few months later, I had built up enough strength to start running again! I can now run over five miles with no pain at all!!!

Kayla, I cannot thank you enough for everything you've done for me. Your BBG guides have literally changed my life. After six long years, filled with multiple physical therapy and chiropractic appointments, personal training sessions, one knee surgery, and multiple other attempted remedies....your guides were the only thing that got me back to feeling like myself again.

I've never been healthier or happier in my own skin, and I have you to thank for that.

You're amazing, thank you for everything you do.

All the best,

Emily — @egolsfitlife”

This is the lovely Carrie who sent me this email:

“Hi Kayla,

Before starting the BBG, I was in a true rut in life. I was in a depression for about 5 months, where I had completely stopped exercising and eating healthy, and as a result, I gained 40 lbs.

I was the heaviest I had ever been and became so insecure and unhappy with not only my body, but my mind and spirit became affected.

It wasn't until I found you, that I started wanting to get out of bed to help my body again. The BBG was the perfect guide for me starting out because it gave me structure and was only 28 minutes!

It became addictive. I'm happier and healthier than ever now! I have more energy and more self confidence than ever before!

Thank you!
