New Training Style, Renewed Energy
New Training Style, Renewed Energy
I absolutely LOVE receiving your transformation stories! It is so inspiring for me to see women with different backgrounds and fitness experiences enjoying BBG. It makes me even more excited to create new content to share and to be a part of your support network.
The transformation stories I am sharing today come from two amazing ladies who were looking to change their training style and habits. BBG was exactly what they were looking for!
Mackenzie — @musclesmack
Fitness had always been a part of Mackenzie’s life, but it took a back seat to other priorities when she began university. Suddenly Mackenzie had to adapt to the pressure of full-time study and work. This made it hard for her to get outdoors and to hike regularly — things that had been crucial to her fitness routine.
Spending her first season working as a backcountry wilderness ranger really tested Mackenzie’s physical fitness, and she realised being stronger would help her do her new job even better. “All of my physical abilities were definitely put to the test as we did trail maintenance, carried tools and hiked anywhere from 5-20 miles each day.” That’s what prompted Mackenzie to try BBG!
After completing 12 weeks of the Bikini Body Guide, as well as making major dietary changes, Mackenzie noticed huge changes. She can hike further and feels so much stronger — physically and mentally. Mackenzie also explains that she has developed a better relationship with exercise, and has a new sense of self-compassion and confidence!
In addition to feeling stronger, Mackenzie has also noticed other physical changes. “The most obvious one that others can see is my weight loss, where I went from around 154 pounds to where I am currently at 127 pounds. However, the most important changes have definitely occurred within. My hypertension (high blood pressure) has nearly disappeared and my high heart rate has been reduced to that of an athlete.” Mackenzie’s energy level is so high, she’s even been able to give up caffeine completely!
What a journey, Mackenzie! Congratulations on your hard work — I’m glad that BBG could help you to enjoy your passion for hiking even more!
Nicolette — @nico_fraser
Dancing competitively for 16 years kept Nicolette very active!
Once Nicolette entered her second year of university, she struggled to find time for dancing. Full-time study, work and dancing became a tough juggling act, so Nicolette gave up dance. “After stopping dancing, I started to notice the changes in my body. I knew I needed to get back to the level of fitness I had been at but had no idea how to get there.”
Nicolette began looking for a workout program that compared to her dancing routine but came up empty. When the 12-Week Challenge was announced last year, Nicolette decided she wanted to give BBG a go!
Once she began BBG, Nicolette soon fell in love with the program! Her fitness level began to improve and she started to feel confident in her clothes again. “I weighed 154 pounds and now I weigh 139 pounds. I have so much more energy and my self-confidence is at an all-time high. I was so self-conscious about the weight I’d gained after quitting dancing that I would wear loose tops all the time and hide my body. Now I am proud and love showing off my shape!”
Nicolette says she is fitter, healthier and more confident since starting BBG! I’m so happy for you Nicolette — and I love that BBG is challenging you!
