These two amazing ladies have completely made over their lifestyles, and their BBG journey has led to such a positive outlook! These stories are sure to be a source of motivation!
Katrina — @katrinasalitros
Katrina has been dealing with anxiety and depression for almost her entire life. She has struggled with body image and self confidence, eating disorders, negative and abusive relationships and at times, relied on food to help her feel better.
For many years, Katrina has told herself that she’ll work on her health tomorrow, next week or next summer. She explains that she stuck with any program she tried for around two weeks, before giving up.
In 2014, Katrina came out of a bad relationship. As she explains, “I felt physically, I was at my worst. I was embarrassed. I couldn’t even look in the mirror.” She started making small changes to her lifestyle, but found herself falling back into a pattern of thinking she’d do something tomorrow, next week or next summer.
Katrina doesn’t remember when she first came across my BBG program, but the transformations caught her eye. She does remember seeing the transformation photos and realising it was something she wanted to try.
In January 2016, Katrina started her BBG journey. While she admits that she hasn’t always been completely consistent, she has made it to week 20 and found a new lease on life.
BBG has helped Katrina to find her inner mental, emotional and physical strength. “I don’t question anymore every single day whether I’m lovable or not. I don’t question if I’m worthy, I don’t question ‘Do I have the strength’ to overcome a situation.”
I’m so incredibly proud of Katrina and her hard work. I’m ecstatic that she has discovered a whole new level of confidence and self love, and that the BBG Community has supported her. This is such an inspirational transformation, both inside and out!
Congratulations, Katrina! You are a true inspiration!
At age 20, Charlise got a contract working on a cruise ship. She spent 9 months travelling onboard and working.
Charlise admits that she can be a little picky when it comes to food, but the dining options onboard didn’t give her a lot of choice. She found the meals weren’t terribly filling, and often consisted of unhealthy choices and lots of pizza! Charlise also often wandered to the candy shop onboard and had an ice cream or some sweets before bed.
She explains that the lifestyle onboard the ship led to weight gain. Charlise says, ‘I weighed 64kg when I boarded the ship, and came back a solid 81kgs.’ The moment that a button popped off her uniform when she sat down helped Charlise to make up her mind that it was time to change.
Returning home, some of Charlise’s close friends and family supported her decision to makeover her lifestyle. Enlisting her sister as a workout buddy, Charlise started BBG.
After 12 weeks of following the program, Charlise felt like a whole new person. Her energy level was high again and she was getting back her confidence. “I pulled through and thanks to you, I lost 17kgs in 12 weeks.” Of course, this is just the beginning for Charlise!
I’m so happy to hear that not only has Charlise made the changes for herself, but she has also paired up with her sister. Your support network is so important and it shows in the amazing results Charlise has achieved! Keep it up, ladies!
