Sweat Members Share Their Tips For Making Fitness More Enjoyable
Finding and sticking to a full fitness routine for yourself can feel a little bit daunting. I know so many girls, over the years, have told me that it was one of the toughest things they’ve done in a long time. One thing that helps if you’re trying to stick to a fitness routine is making it as enjoyable as possible, so you can gradually make it a part of your lifestyle.
A little while ago I asked the amazing ladies of the Sweat Community for some of their tips on making fitness enjoyable and fun. They had some amazing tips and advice to share! Whether you’re a beginner or you’ve been working out for years, I think these tips can definitely help!
I love that for that little portion of the day, I’m focused on myself. Working on myself, for myself. That is so enjoyable!

Learning about it! The more I learn about fitness, the more I see a reason behind doing different things (and can alter what I do to make sure I’m working towards my goals more effectively). May not sound ‘fun’ to some, but to a science nerd, having a meaning behind every movement makes it much more fun!

I do what I WANT to do… I never force myself to grind through some workout I don’t enjoy simply for an after picture. Yoga, walking, YES! I enjoy lifting weights, dancing, hiking, all the good stuff. Also, epic playlists are a must!
— Jules
Eat intuitively and move for enjoyment every day.

Follow interesting people on IG both for exercises and healthy eating. Use the SWEAT app and modify the intensity of the workouts. Rewarding myself with new gym outfits to motivate myself. Uploading my simple food and exercise videos. Recording exercise is a great way to track progress and to see how you are getting stronger 💪

I do it to forget about my stress. When I workout, all I think about is getting better and my body getting stronger. With a good playlist and determination I can enjoy the process of working out :) After the workout it leaves me feeling happy, strong and motivated to do more the next day! Remember that you are stronger than you think and keep pushing. This is a message to everyone :)

Music definitely helps. I like putting it on before I workout so that it gets me in the zone. But the big thing that gets me through exercising is setting new goals for myself. There is nothing better than accomplishing a goal and feeling stronger.

Being a good example for my kids is #1 — and I’m not perfect!! Just trying to make good choices, make healthy food, being active is the most important tip to stay motivated. And bad days come for sure… and I get inspired by all the fantastic people in our community!
