Let’s be honest, we have all had those moments where we are ravenously hungry after dinner and go on a raid of the pantry and fridge. Late night snacking doesn’t have to be a thing filled with highly processed foods, you can still enjoy healthy treats that will satisfy your cravings! Check out my favourite healthy late night snack ideas below:

Yoghurt & Blueberries

If you are looking for something sweet that super easy to make, you can’t go past yoghurt and berries! Try to use the best quality greek yoghurt you can find, as this is usually thick and creamy. I like mixing it with blueberries (fresh or frozen) because it’s a great tasting combo. You can also heat up the berries over the stovetop to make a sauce, which tastes even better mixed in with the yoghurt.

Chocolate Popcorn

This is another super easy snack that hits your sweet spot! Simply melt some dark chocolate in the microwave or over the stove and spread some air popped popcorn on a baking sheet. Drizzle the melted chocolate all over the popcorn and wait for it to set. If you like a salty/sweet combination, you can also sprinkle some sea salt over the chocolate while it is still runny.

‘Nice’ Cream

This is a fantastic alternative to ‘ice cream’ and it’s just as good as the real thing, if not better. Nice cream is basically frozen bananas blended, until they form the consistency of regular ice cream. If you are looking for a great recipe, I have one here.

Sweat With Kayla

Whole Wheat Crackers With Low-Fat Cheddar Cheese & Grapes

Think of this as a mini cheese platter that you can have all to yourself! Simply take a few whole wheat crackers, cut up some low-fat cheddar and grab a handful of grapes for a delicious snack. The sharpness of the cheddar, combined with the grapes make this a filling snack FULL of flavour.

Banana & Peanut Butter

This is a classic flavour combo which makes a really great late night snack. Slice a banana into rounds or lengthwise (whichever you prefer) and top with slightly melted, all natural peanut butter. You can also pop some blueberries or chopped up strawberries onto these.
