The Story Behind My New IGTV Series ‘Begin Again’
Begin Again

For those of you who’ve been following me for a while on social media, you might know my story of how I first created my fitness program for women, BBG, and how the incredible women who did these workouts created the BBG Community.

I’ve wanted to share more about the personal side of my journey as a trainer and with my fitness after having Arna, and some of the struggles that actually led me to create my new programs BBG Beginner and Post-Pregnancy

That’s why I'm SO excited that I finally get to share this with you in my new six-part IGTV series Begin Again!

Getting out of my comfort zone

This series is the first time I’ve spoken in-depth about my life, and especially the last seven months since having Arna.

It’s also the first time I’ve really spoken about being vulnerable or me feeling weak.

In the past, I would have never shown it.

I’ve had to REALLY get out of my comfort zone to talk about my recent experiences, but it’s also something that’s really important to me.

The first episode is a chance for me to share more about my days playing basketball, my decision to become a personal trainer, the early days of BBG, and the incredible journey that led to the BBG Community — made up of amazing women around the globe!

Why family is everything to me

While a lot of what I’m sharing is about my recent experiences of having Arna and becoming a mum, my parents and grandparents are still SO important to me. I see them every morning with Arna — they live a 25-minute walk away from my house, and we’ll usually have a Turkish coffee together.

To this day, I still regularly have to explain what I do to my Papou, who continually asks, in Greek: "What do you do?"

"I just don't know how to explain it to people. I don't know what you do."

I always respond, "Say I’m a personal trainer."

His follow up question is usually: "Well, why are you in the newspaper if you're just a personal trainer… ?" He assumes I’ve done something bad, which honestly makes me laugh. I love that Arna and I get to spend so much time with Yiayia and Papou in the mornings.

In the evening, I have family meals with my parents and sister. We share Mediterranean style food and talk about our days. Food is so important in Greek culture, and my family believe food brings people together!

Why I’ll always be a personal trainer for women

I hope that you enjoy watching Begin Again, getting to know about how BBG started and hearing a more personal side of my story.

I love being a personal trainer for women — I genuinely want to help women and make them feel supported.

If social media somehow disappeared, and I was left with training my clients in the gym, I'd be so happy with that. That's what I do. That's what I love.

There’s so much more to come

While I’ve just released the first episode of Begin Again, there are five more that will be released in the next few weeks!

In the upcoming episodes, you’ll get the real story of what I've actually been going through in the last few months, and how hard I found it to regain my strength during post-pregnancy training

In episode two, I talk in-depth about my experience with pregnancy. I had pregnancy fatigue, morning sickness, reflux, restless leg, sciatic nerve pain… and then I gave birth.

I thought pregnancy would be a breeze, but I actually found it tough.

There's SO much more to come… and I hope all of you in the BBG Community enjoy getting to know a different side of me.
