These energy balls are the perfect snack to get you pumped up for your holiday workouts! If you are taking a little time off they are also great to serve at any festivities, no one will know they aren't full of naughty ingredients. You can mix up the recipe by replacing the nuts with any other variety you like and add more coatings such as almond flakes and dried fruits.

Christmas Energy Balls Recipe

Total time: 10 mins
Serves: 14-16 balls
Dietary preferences:  Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten-free

Ingredients:

  • 165g whole almonds
  • 165g whole walnuts
  • 20 medjool dates, pitted
  • 3 large tbs raw cacao powder
  • 1 tbs coconut oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • shredded coconut, crushed pistachios, cacao and nuts for rolling


Method:

1. Process almonds, walnuts and cacao until the mixture is nice and crumbly.
2. Add the dates and vanilla, then process again until mixture starts to come together.
3. Add the coconut oil, process further. Roll into balls.
5. Roll in your choice of toppings and store in fridge for up to 3 weeks.
