Avocados are one of my FAVOURITE foods! I love having them in my breakfast dishes, salads and making fresh guacamole with them - SO good! Did you know that not only do they taste delicious but they are FULL of good things?

So here is exactly what makes them so good for you:

Vitamin K
This vitamin can help to heal wounds through healthy blood clotting and is essential for healthy bone development.

Vitamin B6
As well as helping your body convert food into energy, this vitamin can also help produce neurotransmitters (brain chemicals) that help your brain to communicate with the rest of your body.

Potassium
Potassium is a powerful mineral that can help to control blood sugar levels, improve brain function, control blood pressure, increase bone strength and help improve the function of all of your body’s cells, tissues and organs. Pretty powerful stuff!

Omega-3
Avocados are full of healthy fats, including omega 3s, which can help to reduce inflammation in the body.

The vitamins and minerals that avocados contain make them one of the BEST foods for healthy and glowing skin! Eating avocado can help with cell renewal and fight inflammation, so you can retain youthful looking skin. The best bit is avocados (and avocado oil) make a great face mask!

Brain Power
Eating avocados can help give you energy, decrease stress and boost overall brain function. The powerful mineral behind this is potassium, which can help you to think more clearly and may also improve thought processing!

We all need fats in our diet to survive, however there are certain fats (such as those in processed foods) that aren’t that good for us. Avocados are an awesome source of good fats, which help us to maintain a healthy heart.
