This smoothie bowl reminds me of Christmas in Australia! Cherries are one of my favourite fruits and make this bowl so delicious.

Cherry Smoothie Bowl Recipe

Total time: 5 mins

Serves: 1

Dietary preferences: Vegetarian, Gluten-free

Ingredients:

 

  • 150g (1 cup) dark sweet frozen cherries

  • ½ medium banana, peeled and chopped

  • 2 tsp acai berry powder (optional)

  • 125ml low-fat milk

  • 100g low-fat plain yoghurt


Topping

  • 8 whole fresh cherries
  • 2 tbsp desiccated or flaked coconut
  • 20g almonds
  • 1 tbsp cacao nibs


Method:



1. Place the frozen cherries, banana, acai powder, if using, milk and yoghurt in a blender and blend until smooth.

2. To serve, pour the smoothie mixture into a bowl and top with the fresh cherries, coconut, almonds and cacao nibs. Enjoy!
